A Silver 2019 Ram 1500Named the best full-size pickup truck by U.S. News and World Report, the 2019 Ram 1500 is completely redesigned for this model year. Available in six trims (Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited), the Ram 1500 offers solid performance, excellent interior, stellar safety features, and several driver assistance features. Interior Comfort

The 2019 Ram 1500 offers plenty of top-notch materials inside the cabin. The base trim comes standard with vinyl upholstery and a Uconnect infotainment system with 5-inch touch-screen display. The Big Horn trim has cloth upholstery and power-adjusted driver’s seat. The Level 1 Equipment Group package includes satellite radio, an 8.4-inch touch-screen display, and power-sliding rear window. The Laramie trim has leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats and steering wheel.

The Rebel trim includes cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, and power-adjusted driver’s seat. It’s Level 1 Equipment Group package features heated front seats and steering wheel, while the Level 2 Equipment Group package has dual-zone automatic climate control. The Laramie Longhorn has premium leather upholstery and ventilated rear seats, while the Limited trim has wireless device charging.

Performance

When it comes to power, the 2019 Ram 1500 comes standard with a 305-horsepower V-6 engine. You can also opt for a 395-horsepower V-8 engine. Both engines come with a mild-hybrid eTorque system.  You can also opt for four-wheel drive. Although both engines work well, the V-8 provides you with better towing and hauling capacities. If you have the V-6 engine, you should get an EPA- estimated 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.  The V-8 engine attains an EPA-estimated 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.

Safety Features

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the 2019 Ram 1500 with the highest rating in six crash test categories. When it comes to safety features, the truck has two full sets of LATCH connectors. It also comes standard with a rearview camera.

Capacity and Cargo Space

Compared to the previous year’s model, the 2019 Ram 1500 has its towing and hauling capacities jump by about 20 percent. When properly equipped, the pickup truck can haul 2,300 pounds and tow up to 12,750 pounds.

For cargo space, the pickup truck gives you the option of a 6-foot-4-inch or 5-foot-7-inch bed, depending upon the cab configuration. You can also add certain bed features such as a deployable tailgate step and storage system. The storage system is built into the side walls of the bed so you can safely lock tools or other important items.

Driver Assistance Features

The 2019 Ram 1500 offers a variety of available driver assistance features. Upgrades available include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic assist, and automatic emergency braking.
